The development of modern and energy-efficient commercial buildings continues in Haabersti
Yesterday, the real estate developer Favorte held a rafter party in the commercial building at 24 Härgmäe. The new building with warehouse and office spaces will be ready in October, and will add 5,500 square meters of modern commercial space to Tähetorni Tehnopark by Paldiski Road.
According to Madis Lett, the Project Manager of Favorte, Tähetorni Tehnopark is one of the few business quarters with vacant rental space within Tallinn, where it is possible to hold both light production and customer meetings in one place, and to create a modern sales area. “There is also enough space around all the commercial buildings for manoeuvring large commercial vehicles, and for car parking. Today, almost 20 companies have chosen Tähetorni Tehnopark as their new business location,“ added Lett.
The building at 24 Härgmäe is being constructed by Nordecon. According to Kristo Tamm, Head of the Pärnu Unit of Nordecon AS, the new stock-office type commercial buildings enable companies to be flexible, and provide a prompt service to customers. “The location of the commercial building at Härgmäe 24 in Tähetorni Tehnopark creates especially good opportunities for that purpose. At the same time, Favorte fulfils the needs of its tenants properly and individually, so that their future commercial space is complete and functional,” said Tamm.
"Besides, I’m glad to see how environmentally conscious solutions have become the norm – Favorte is building a large 375 kW solar park on the roof of 24 Härgmäe," said the representative of Nordecon.
Solar panels have been installed on the roofs of all the buildings in Tähetorni Tehnopark, and the developer is planning to continue on the same path. “In the future, Tähetorni Tehnopark has the potential to grow into the largest solar park in Tallinn. A total of 12 commercial buildings are planned here, with the area of roofs of approximately 50,000 square meters,” said Favorte’s Project Manager.
Today, more than 2,000 square meters of commercial space has been rented out at 24 Härgmäe. Among others, ICONFIT that in spring raised 500,000 euros through a fundraising campaign on the Funderbeam (with the interest of 10 mln euros) will move to a new location from the next door. "One of the outputs of the raised investment is the expansion of the production unit. We can do this within Tähetorni Tehnopark without spending extra resources on moving to a completely new location,“ said Kenneth Kutan, a Member of the Board of ICONFIT.
