Favorte and Eventus will construct a 16,000 m2 business centre on Kadaka tee

Real estate developer Favorte and Eventus Ehitus are building a new multifunctional commercial building, Kadaka Trade Center, on Kadaka tee 42b property. Construction has started and the completion of the building will add 16,000 m2 of modern commerce, office and warehouse space to the Kadaka business district.

According to Madis Lett, project manager at Favorte, the Kadaka tee area is developing rapidly. "There are both new apartment buildings and commercial buildings under construction, which will offer convenient services to the new residents. The area's infrastructure is also being renewed – Kivikülvi tänav is currently being reconstructed, and the last section of Akadeemia and Mustamäe tee is also expected to be renovated," said Lett.

“People are used to moving around here – according to Stratum, 17,600 vehicles use Kadaka tee every day. Companies value the opportunity to make themselves visible and easily accessible to their customers. This is illustrated by the fact that 3,100 square metres of commercial space had already been rented out at Kadaka Trade Center before construction even started," said the project manager at Favorte.

"The new buildings that have been built along Kadaka tee in recent years have been a good start in refreshing the look of the most important street in the area, and the completion of Kadaka Trade Center will be the next big step in the right direction. This project is a nice continuation of the seamless cooperation between Favorte and Eventus, which allows us to build in a flexible way that best meets the needs of the end-users," said Lauri Kaska, CEO of Eventus Ehitus, the company building the business centre.

The author of the architecture of the eye-catching business centre is Jüri Pilliroog from the architecture firm LOOB Projekt. "When designing such a long, low facade, the challenge is always to achieve a coherent overall impression without rhythmic repetition. For this purpose, we designed large white abstract shapes on the dark glass surface on the front facade of Kadaka tee 42b, which gives the facade character, contrast and visual depth. The exquisite-looking copper-coloured tiles add a touch of colour to the solution," described the architect.

Kadaka Trade Center will be completed by the end of 2023. The building has been certified with energy class B, which ensures an optimal balance between technical solutions to facilitate business operations and low utility costs. The 8000-square-metre roof of the business centre will be topped with solar panels to increase the share of green energy in the building's electricity consumption.
