Favorte and Eventus celebrated the expansion of Tähetorni Tehnopark with a rafter party
Real estate developer Favorte and Eventus Ehitus held a rafter party to celebrate the fourth stock-office commercial building in Tähetorni Tehnopark reaching its maximum height. A modern 4,600 m2 commercial building will be completed on the property of Mäeküla 7 this summer.
According to Rainer Hinno, member of Favorte’s management board, the continued interest in Tähetorni Tehnopark indicates that there is still a demand for commercial premises specialized for small manufacturing and retail within the city borders. “Six months before completion, more than 40% of the business premises at Mäeküla 7 commercial building have been leased out. Clients can get here from the city centre in 12 minutes, and the location right next to Paldiski road allows quick access to all the most important trade routes in Estonia,“ said Hinno.
According to Lauri Kaska, CEO of Eventus Ehitus, the construction works are proceeding according to plan, but at the same time considering the changing needs of the client. "Similarly to our other ongoing projects, we have also developed a combined heating solution for Tähetorni Tehnopark, which allows the use of different types of heating in the building, depending on the price of gas or electricity," Kaska added as an example.
The chief architect of the Mäeküla 7 commercial building is Aigar Roht from architecture office Arhitektibüroo Korrus OÜ. “We have cooperated with Favorte in the context of residential real estate in the past. So this time, we had a great opportunity to interpret the developer's style in a different environment than before,” said Roht.
„However, in view of the overall impression of the commercial park, we still managed to add playful details to the facade of the Mäeküla 7 commercial building, which make it more personalised and memorable. Smartly placed LED light strips add excitement to the building in the dark,“ noted the building's architect.
Today, three commercial buildings and 17,000 m2 of commercial space have been completed at Tähetorni Tehnopark. 24 companies with different profiles have opened their doors in business park, such as Roofit.solar, ICONFIT, Mulieres and Benefit AS.
In the future, the 20.5-hectare development area of the commercial park will accommodate 12 commercial buildings and about a hundred companies, which can be useful to local citizens with their products and services. A solar park has been installed on the roof of the Tähetorni Tehnopark buildings and the produced green energy covers almost 40% of the lessees' annual electricity needs.
